Reminds me of what Audi and Subaru did with their front grill.

I cannot tell if they are SE models are not, I just know that they are EVOs.
I think alot people are waiting for EVO X to be release that's why sales are not as good as they should be.

WOW! That's a LOT more than I thought it would be... For 2003 and 2004, Mitsu only sold about 5000 Evos each of those years in the US. But now in just the past 2 months combined, they have sold 4000+!?!

Oct. 2006
2,208 units
Nov. 2006
2,404 units
Dec. 2006
2,280 units
Jan. 2007
1,888 units
Feb. 2007
1,505 units
Mar. 2007
1,180 units
These are ALL Forecast #'s for the rest of the Fiscal Year.
***Keep in mind that these #'s are total combine sales. Which means Retail + Wholesale + Fleet.
The number above are probably just retail sales, that's why they are so low.
When you asked for total number of produce EVO for U.S., I have assume that you means EVERTHING, including; Retail + Wholesale + Fleet.

So they have projected out over 11,000 more 2006 Evo IX units to be sold yet. That tells me 2 things -
1) They have built up stockpiles of the 2006 IXs to last through probably next spring
2) They have built a LOT of Evo SE and MR SE models.

I'm definitely considering an X in 2008, but I'm a bit leary about the transmission. Is there FIRM word on whether the X will be available with a conventional clutch manual transmission?

Do you know at what auto show the new Lancer will be unveiled? I'd like to see it without the "anti-spy-shot-cladding". But even with the cladding, it's shaping up to look pretty nice.
Any news if the Mitsubishi "i" will make it to these shores? I need a DD eventually, and I'd put the "i" high on my list. It gets hybrid gas mileage without hybrid expense and complexity. I did the math, and I'd only have to put gas in it about once a month with my relatively short commute of 14-miles round-trip. Gas prices can do whatever they want if I'm only buying 9 gallons of gas a month.
And thanks for the insider scoops!

i mean tbh i would buy a paddle shift cause then my family would be able to drive it as well but a 6 spd manual would be great as well so thanks for the heads up on that one and i dont really see why they would do away with the 6 spd completely
btw the paddle shift is the dsg transmission correct? if so i would really hope they wouldnt only do that cause from what i have heard from people on this board is that the dsg transmission is not very mod friendly as if u mod it and something ****s up then ur SOL as they like arent easy to fix or they will cost you a boat load of money but i may be wrong but thats just what i've heard

I don't care how much faster, more technical, whatever, a DSG style system might be, I want a traditional 3-pedal manual for any sportscar I buy.
Anyway, thanks for all the great heads-up info!
Granted Im an older member here, but does anyone remember when the Evo was about to hit our shores we had a few snoops who visited MMNA and took some pictures? I remember seeing pictures of MMNA employees looking at an VIII in a garage on a lift. I think its about time we try to get some visual dirt on some new products.
By the way, I read a few of your posts, and some times you refer to the Lancers on your lot as 08, sometimes as 09's. Which is it?
Thanks
