Will the next Galant use a stretched Lancer/GS platform?

...and the Sportback kicks ***.

Awesome! Now if it stays similar to the concept and doesn't lose all of the cool lines I'd buy one for my family car since the Evo is now well beyond reasonable for that purpose.

Congratulations to the winners of the used-car lottery! Judging by the used car prices of the 2004 R32, the Evos should do exceptionally well. Hmm, maybe I should go buy another one?

jmk2888, do you have access to the 2006 Evo IX final production figures for the US? I think a lot of us would like to know a breakdown of how many were made, how many of each trim, and how many of each color.

I don't know anything about the new platform for the New Galant. As soon I get more info, I'll post it on this forum.

So far nothing yet. The EVO X will not be release until Feb. 2008 for a 2009 model. As soon as I know more, I'll post it.

^^^ No, I was asking about the IX production numbers. Evo IX production has ended already, right? How many were produced for the US?

The picture of the Concept X on the links above are pretty much 90% of what the EVO X will look like. But they are still tweaking various thing on the EVO X before it gets released.
Problem is that the concept looks phenomenal. It is rare though that a company can bring the concept look to the showroom floor. If it looked JUST like that, you'd have my deposit now. However, 10% leaves a hell of a lot of room to REALLY screw up the lines/wheels/brakes/etc, or should I say not bring all that great hardware to the consumer. I'd say to bring us what we want, you'd be in the $40k and up range, which puts it outside the Evo demographic.

They do look great though... I'd like the Sportback...

so would u say that feb 2008 is the earliest it will be released or could it possibly end up being like nov/dec of 07 if things end up getting done faster?

basically saying is feb 08 a definite date or is it a working date that mmna hopes to have it released by?

also with the 07 outlanders / evo x, will dealerships be having the same problem as they did with the 06/07 eclipses / spyders where they might get like 1-2 when they first come out since mitsu was doing it where as soon as they were done on the production line they were sending them out as opposed to getting a decent amount ready and then sending 7-10 to dealers as opposed to maybe 1-3
