I think you should do what you want to do. Why should what we think, or what the guy may or may not do to the car matter to you?

You're either going to sell it -- or you're not going to sell it.

Why don't you just sell it outright?

If you don't want to sell it to your mullet clad, z28 driving, toothless redneck of a neighbor, don't. Chances are you will get a much better deal by putting up for sale here:

Good day!

If he was to give him the 1500 and 6 months worth of payments the guy could have bought a new one. The guy wanting to "Take Over" payments is going to have to get a loan for an agreed upon amount. Unless he qualifies for a loan through your financial institution and they will keep the payments the same for the term you have left on the loan

that would suck to have to see your car get driven around by someone who is doing that to it but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet!

My friends GF did something like that, well, selling a car to someone who worked at her work, her car was actually pretty clean for a CAV with a sunfire kit:

Well, after a month she saw her "baby" with a cracked front bumper, the guy she sold it to krylon'd the seats and carpet "yes they were crunchy" and slapped stickers all over it.

She hates seeing her car so molested, and has to see it every day.

I think that if you really think he's going to "christmas tree" it, or wreck it, and that's going to bother you, sell it to someone else that doesnt live close to you, and if you ever see a car that looks like it might be the one you sold, don't look to hard at it, you might be sad.

Once you sell it...get over it.
