CarFanatic-

Honestly, jack stands are the way to go unless you don't have them :P. Carpet is fine, but once again jack stands are best. Carpet should help a lot though compared to the normal garage floor.

wouldn't being on jackstande be bad for the car after along while?? all that weight hanging on the 4 littl points??

Plus I'm prolly just gonna start it up once a week or so, and move it around abit.

Where can I get a battery tender for gel batteries?

Damn, I am looking to store my current car and pickup an Evo to drive in the winter!

I've heard it's not good to just start and run the car, but better to actually drive it around a little bit every few weeks or so when you can.

Question

Hmm, what is everyone's reason for not driving their Evos in the winter...?

I will be storing my MR shortly too. I plan on the following to store it:

Full tank of gas + stabilizer
Start the car at least weekly
Jack Stands
Wash, wax, treat rubber and cover the car
Back it out of the garage every 2-3 weeks
drive around if the roads are clear
I still have the stock battery

...then pray the snow goes away!

Get some race ramps if u guys dont have jackstands(and less work too, especially if u wanna drive it out to the snow or something)

well, it will be stored from now.. till end febuarry.

I try and take it around the block if roads are clean. I just washed it and changed the oil.

Still gotta find a gel battery tender, those race ramps might not be a bad idea!
