Do you use a battery tender, or just disconnect it?? also what all steps do you do to keep it stored? Do you start it up every so often or not worry about it?

Last year I started it up once a week or so, but I have the small buschur battery, and it always died on me.

Battery tender! The mini battery won't hold a charge if you don't. I picked one up for around $70 bucks. Just make sure the one you get is for a gel type battery, otherwise you risk damaging your mini.

I just let it sit in the garage, and start it up (let it idle for 10-15 minutes) once a month.

I change the oil, wash and wax, park it on a flat floor, put on a car cover, and run it for 15-20 minutes every month. I let it warm up completely, then rev it up until the cooling fan cycles on and off a few times.

I still have the stock, original battery. Usually, I keep it on a battery tender but it seems to be fine with just running it every once in a while. Compared to my old DSM, the Evo is remarkably kind to (stock) batteries.

Ditto, I may take it around the block.

That and I fill it up full of gasoline and put some stabilizer in it.

make sure you put something under the tires, rubber or plastic or something like that. leaving them on the bare cement for prolonged periods tends to cause tires to rot and/or flat spot.

Oh yeah, when I run it every month, I also move it back and forth a bit. This is to get the oil in the transmission/transfer case/differentials to move around a bit. It might also help minimize corrosion on the flywheel and braking surfaces.

I also try to wind up with a different contact patch on the tires after each warm-up.

Where can I get a battery tender for the gel batteries?? where did you guys get yours?? I have some xtra carpet laying around would that work under the tires??

Why do you silicone the rubber?? If its sitting inside? This is one thing I haven't heard of before.
