will mr guages easily work in IX model?
will mr guages easily work in IX model?
i want to get the stock mr guages, but for a novice in cars like myself, would it just plug and play or do alot of wiring need to be spliced and other modifications need to take order for installation?
i like the stock guages and are sufficient for that stocky look

You could always go with aftermarket gauges as it'll be the same time + effort to install the gauge pack on your Evo. Actually it might be harder to find the harnesses for the gauges on the Mitsu gauge pack so you're better off going with aftermarket.

Not worth it at all. i bought my car, 03 GSR, with the gauges and they were the first thing to go... just get some defi's like i did and you wont regret it. one of the most accurate gauges out there.

If your system is located above, and you are keeping the system in it's location, there are many top mount 3 pod gauges, that fit on the dash. No screws needed. I'll look around , but I am sure they have to have something aftermarket that fits above the ashtray.
stock guages are tiny as hell, dont get them unless u get an MR/RS which comes with them.
get used autometer like i did for freakin 30 bucks with all the harnesses etc. installation took me very little time with the help of some DIY threads.

Get a used set of guages off evom and have the dealer install them.
I too am fond of the factory mitsubishi gauges if for no other reason they are a factory part. Don't give to much attention to the noise in this thread. They are a good option for what you describe.
Just make sure to relocate the stereo so you can read them

I agree with Evol.vel too.
For your application where you are not changing your boost controller, and the OEM look is important, go with the factory DIN setup.
I recommend that you re-locate your radio, and put the guages in its place.
See the attached.
