My alignment from the factory was all screwed up.

The dealer is supposed to align the car as part of PDI. But they almost never do. Knowing this, I specifically told the dealer that I wanted my car aligned before I took delivery. I told the Sales Manager. I told my Sales man. It was noted on my sales contract that the car would be aligned and they would give me a copy of the computer printout.

I pick up the car a few days later, and they have some story about why they don't have the alignment sheet. It wasn't aligned. It obviously never saw the rack at all before I picked it up. It pulls hard to the side, and the steering wheel is off by about 5 degrees.

Then I made an appointment to get the alignment fixed. I took it back a few days later. After waiting 4+ hours in the dealer waiting room for an alignment, they give me my car keys back. I ask them for the alignment sheet. They give it to me. From this sheet, I could see how totally screwed up the original alignmnet was. It also showed me that, even after having waited 4+ hours for an alignment, they still could not get it within factory alignment spec.

Furious and exhausted, I left the dealership.

This is probably what most of you are referring to. I used to think that my car's alignment was off, but then I realized that the evo is very senitive to road crowning and other uneveness in the road. On almost all roads my car will pull right, however, if you were to go to the other side of the road it will pull left. I hate it when I get on a warped road and my car starts dancing around my lane cause it keeps pulling different ways as the road slopes one way or another.
