Did I get a good deal @ MSRP?
Did I get a good deal @ MSRP?
I went last week to test drive an Evo and liked the car so much that I drove it home. A week later I love the car but I was curious if I got a good deal. Basically I am putting 500 down on the car, 3.98% financing over 60 months which makes my payment 565/month. It was only 10 bucks more than my WRX a month, but I talked them down to MSRP so quickly that I wonder if they would have gone lower. Does anyone get an Evo for under MSRP?
Thanks,

Yeah, that's the other thing. I own my house and make regular payments, and my credit is really, really good compared to when I got the WRX. So they gave me the 3.98 right away. That made the trade in almost a no brainer since I was paying closer to 8 on the WRX.
You got about The Best Deal Out there...3.98 and MSRP.....WOW, it doesn't get much better than that..........
we did sell our first three at MSRP, but I'm not sure of the Interest rates that they got.

The appeal of the Evo, (and I've driven both a Lotus and Carrera 4S around, not mine) over anything that I've driven to the ordinary bystander is that it's a car that a relatively average person can afford or will be able to afford someday. When I drove the Porsche or Lotus around, hardly anyone came up to me to talk about the car, but with the Evo, it seems like every time I park the car there's a guy with questions about it.
In that sense, I think demand will keep up with the relatively limited supply. If the Evo is a success like the WRX and they crank out 15K of them next year, then I think maybe we'll see more dealing on the car. Everyone looking at the Evo is also thinking about the STi, but once that car is released, they're going to see some availability and gouging problems well in excess of what we're seeing on LanEvos, mainly because allocation is barely more than half of the Evo's.

no, people are not busting down the doors right now, thats how I have time to sit at work and post things here, but as to an EVO at less then MSRP, I highly doubt it, therer is only abot $1500 in them.
