Well I have been fighting Mitsu for just under one year now, but I finally got my wing, Brembos, and hood heat shield replaced. They agreed to replace my wing last December, and it just now came in. However, at that same time they refused to replace my Brembos and my hood heat shield (which had turned silver). I finally, after using this site, was capable of proving that other dealerships and district reps had approved them to be replaced. After giving them a list they agreed to replace them.

So don't give up on your issues with your car. Don't let Mitsu beat you into thinking that they aren't going to replace anything. Because with enough effort on your behalf you can get your car fixed.

Thanks to those of you whom listed the dealerships that replaced your Brembos. Because of you all I was able to get mine replaced.

Do you think that they will replace Brembo's turning in to "Brownbo's" from racing?

 

Good job stickin it to the man. I just had all four of my brembos replaced too a month ago. Makes a huge difference on the looks and resale value in my opinion.

 

Were you out of warranty? Reason I ask is my 3yr/36K mile warranty is long gone. I tried the "paint warranty" line but they shot me down quicker than a britney spears marriage.

 

Thats what im talking about.. My brembo's are starting to chip just a tad but as soon as chunks start coming off, time to get new ones.

 

Yea, im at 3 years 3 months with 36k miles, so I wonder if its even reasonable for me to try to argue.....Also, did you contact main office or did you go through your individual dealership? I saw a post earlier from someone saying that the dealership wont do anything, but if you bug their main office enough they might.

 

This was through the dealership. I have 37k miles on my car right now, but when I first went in I had far less on the car. If you are over the 36k miles and haven't gone in about it before then I wouldn't bother.

It does make the car look a lot better.
