So far after a bit of research, I have helped my friend mod his IX RS with the following mods. He has TBE w/ tp, O2 housing, dejon MBC, drop in filter. Next is the tune...

My main question is, would it be safe to set the boost to 1.3-1.4 bar for his daily driving?

 

The boost is already 1.4 bar from the factory. You can go several psi higher. EGTs aren't a concern whatsoever, and the o2 has nothing to do with that anyway.

It's the same for the VIII and IX. We've known of better o2 housings for a long time now. It's nothing new.

 

Invidia o2 housing is pretty nice in quality and he got it for supeeerrrr cheap.

Warrtalon besides a tune what would you suggest next?

 

Oh, well, the Invidia is not recommended, but it's still better than stock. It costs a lot more, makes less power, and doesn't fit as well as the regular Ebay SS O2. If he got it for super cheap, that's probably why, hah.

LICP and GSC cams.

 

Yeah thats all I need for the full exhaust. Put my Maxford mani on fri night. I cant get my back coupler on the evo 2 exaust to stop leaking. I put on double gaskets and didnt help. But Im going to put the o2 housing on the christmas list. Is the invidia cheaper than the helix?

 

Yeah i've heard of the SS autochrome o2 housings... They really give more power? I guess I know what I'm putting on my GSR


GSC IX cams and LICP?

With ^ how much power will the RS make?

 

Ive heard that the works cam, and the valve springs and retainers set makes 60 whp over stock. Any truth to this or is it just hearsay.

 

I put down 25 more pounds of torque to the wheels on the same day vs. two other cars that had the same mods as me except no O2 housings.
