I managed to get my Evo without the Pitpass. I don't trust anyone but me to do maintenance on my car... too many times watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off to hand the keys over to any stall-monkey...

Smart getting the pitpass, that way all your servce s paid for in advance.I think it is folish not to,too many people think they are a mechanic and when something screws up,they bring to the dealership to that"stall monkey"and then want them to fix there screw up!
Just got my package too, they are back ordered, some dealers are keeping them and making the customer pay for it.

Of course, if you want the pit pass... Well, I don't know where I can buy one. I've asked other dealers but they just give me a run around and I never hear from them again. I guess there just isn't enough money in those pit passes to make it worth their while to sell them...

Keep the receiptd for oil and filter, log the changes, and you're golden. Pay way too much for both on a Pitpass, have to work your car into their schedule (losing day long access to it for a 20 minute job), and trust them not to damage/mishandle/drive/etc your car... seems pretty cut and dried to me.
Plus I think more than a few of us have more than minimal mechanical ability...

save bodywork, I have never taken a car into the shop... don't plan to start now. I am more then qualified to do routine (and not routine) maintaince on an Evo.

Last one... interestingly enough I cancelled my Pit Pass a month ago, and this thing still showed up. I guess I'll return the coupon book to the dealer/plan administrator, but think I'll hang on to the hat. That'll be the most expensive hat I own, then, $50.
