Driving School

most important mod imho is the driver mod. im wanting to take a class in driving ,especially for my car.. EVO!! anyone know of a great school , especially in the midwest that is available , and a good place to go?

Check out any HPDE courses. You will find those at most road course tracks

Most tracks will have a calendar of events. There are tons of lapping/hpde clubs that run and most will provide instructors. The good thing is that they are CHEAP! The bad thing is that you will have some good, some bad instructors, but it beats paying $3k for a weekend of pro instruction, imho.

Plus its all about seat time anyway, once you have been taught the basics...

WOW, somebody actually looking to improve their skills rather than mod the crap out of their car and then blame the road when they crash? for making this thread. Long overdue, and possibly some of the folks on here will follow your example and become part of the responsible EVO driving community.

thanks! i was suprised when i searched and didnt find anything so i decided to start a new thread.. i just wanted to find a school where you learn how to drive YOUR car.. especially my evo... driving school for one or two days costing maybe at most a couple hundred bucks... curt brown should do a school.. amazing driver! keep the schools coming.. havent found quite what im looking for

Skip Barber Schools...one of the best things that I have ever done...going back soon to drive the formula cars! Learned how to heel/toe, proper lines, advaned car control etc...and to top it all of it lowered my insurance rate!
