Shifting without pushing the clutch?
its 100% perfectly fine for it if you know how to do it. the only time you need to use the clutch is when your taking off, you can downshift without using the clutch as well, ive been doing it all my life with all my cars and i got 150k out of a clutch on one of my neons

Back when I was still building Rods and Musclecars, we used to call it "Powershifting." Not new, but easy to do wrong. I've seen Top Loaders and M-22's grenade because of bad technique. I wouldn't recommend it for the Evo. But it's your car, do with it as you see fit.
So, I've heard of this "magical" techinque where you can shift w/o using the clutch. Supposedly, at a certain RPM you can slide the shifter from one gear to the next. Has anyone done it, does anyone know how to do it, or what that magical RPM range when this can be done is?
