If it is a mechanical cel fix, you just remove the sensor, then screw the cel fix in, and then screw the sensor into the cel fix and tighten everything.

actually, you just need to extend the wires on your rear 02 sensor so that it can thread into the extended bung on the test pipe and voila! no check engine light. if it doesn't have the extended 02 bung on the test pipe, it isn't a UR test pipe.

I have it. The bung is already attached to the TP. You need a robogrip to get the o2 off the stock cat. But once thats off just bolt up the TP and screw in the o2 to the bung. In my old 03 I did not have to exted the wires they reached without a problem

I am against extending the wires, but thats just me. What i did was relocate the bung to the mid pipe of the exhaust. This way you don't have to hack your wires, and you have perfect clearance.

If you have anymore questions, please feel free to IM/PM/Email me.

Amazing! Why do you need a CEL fix on the UR racing pipe?
And why would you need to screw in a CEL sensor fix?

The UR pipe is designed so it does not give you a CEL.

If you are thinking of getting one, just buy it and follow the directions in the
box. That is it. No need to do any more search. Enjoy your pipe CEL free.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess i'll just wait til it comes in and tackle it. I am just worried about cutting the o2 sensor wires due to the harsh winters we have up here. I just want to make sure that extended wires will be strong enough to take the abuse.

My old 03 was fine the wires reached without exteding them but alot of people have to. If you do have to extend them just soder them and you will be fine.

don't worry, i have the winters too and i've had mine for about 1 and 1/2 years and 30,000 miles, no problem. it's easiest to remove the sensor from the car after measuring how much extra wire is needed, then solder it in and use heat shrink wrap tubes to seal it up nice. i even put some electrical tape over that for extra protection. TIP-don't just cut the wires without labeling them 1st. since some of the wires are the same color label them somehow so you solder the right ones together.

If your car is an '03, then cap off the bung in the cat pipe and get a 19mm spark plug anti fouler(autozone) to screw into the bung where your sensor is now, and then screw in the sensor into the anti fouler, and tighten. Search anti fouler.

**edit: use this method before extending or cutting your wires.

I have had my UR test pipe for 3 years with no CEL issues. The only problem i had was when I ran over something and my O2 sensor got damaged. Other than that everything is good. you shouldnt need a fix for that test pipe.

I have UR TP on my IX. I did not need to extend the wires because the o2 sensor bung is in the cat on the IX. The UR TP also comes with extra wire in the box if you do need to extend it.

that works too, but the angle some of the bungs in certain cat-backs are, you end up not having enough room because the sensor will rub the floorboard.

You had it flipped the wrong way then. Theres only 2 ways to put it in one with the bung up over the pipes. If you do that you need to hold up the wires so they don't lay on your exhaust pipes. Or the way you had with the bung on the underside. I don't recomend that because the bung is lower than the frame and if you botom out or go over a speed bump to fast you have problems with messing up or tearing off your o2
