Interior Over Heating?

My girlfriend and I have noticed this, I thought it was just me but she confirmed it. I have 35% tint all over the car if that info. helps anything?

While driving to school, I am driving Towards the sun, so the sun light is coming in from the front windshild. We BOTH noticed when the sunlight comes in, we feel EXCESS head pounding on our arms, faces, and chest. Yes I understand sun=heat but, this is ALOT more than any other car ive ever sat in. I came up with the hypothesis that the Front Windshield is in the shape of a magnifying glass in one way or another (remember how we put ants on fire with a magnifying glass?) and its bundling up all the heat and shooting it straight on us.. making it hotter then other cars. Its really annoying, AC is up all the way.. i can feel the cool air but i can also feel the heat POUNDING on me. anyone else notice this? any way to stop it so it can be like every other normal car?

Really can't say that I've noticed what you've mentioned.
Is this after the car has been sitting in the sun all day? Open the windows when this happens to see the effect. Could the tint be trapping ultraviolet radiation?

It may have to do with the glass being thinner on the Evo than most other cars and the tint. Other than that the windshield is almost flat and a consistent thickness so, I think that makes your magnifying glass theory a little unlikely.

Weird... Drive a different way, just kidding. Maybe park your car in the shade?

I havent felt a magnifying glass effect of the windshield, but i did notice that there seems to be a lot of excess heat in the leg area that i cant seem to blow out with either the windows open or with the a/c.

I would say, have your girlfriend NOT TALK, and open her legs a bit, that should equalize the temp in there. It works when the wife and I are in the car! She blows hot air all the time, and carries her "ice box" with her wherever she goes. If it is still hot in there, drive backwards to school. jk.

I haven't noticed that before, and I have about 75Kmiles on my car. Have you checked the "heater core?" oh yeah, I have super dark tint also, but maybe it is not as hot out here in the midwest.

It helps to lay off the pipe... . I live in Florida as well and don't feel any different during summer inside the evo, just the same old 90-100 degrees sweating-like-a-Bi***weather but I've lived in hot weather conditions all of my life and i'm used to it, I guess.
