Greddy Spec M Intercooler

I installed my Greddy Intercooler over the weekend,
What changes am i expecting to get from this?

The only mod i have for now is a 3" turboback exhaust.

Here are the before and after pics.

I was told that however,
Being in a hot country does it extend the life of my turbo?

Also, Im getting my headers and O2 housing followed by a flash, by then would the intercooler have any benefits HP wise?

From what ive seen you might get a few HP out of it. The factory IC is good for 400HP at least, so upgrading it at this point in the game is somewhat unnecessary, but it should drop the intake temp a bit especially with you being in a hot country. You wont see those HP gains though until you get a tune/flash. I was curious about that intercooler cause its so cheap, so once you get tuned/flashed keep us posted if you dyno it and the gains you get.

Greddy Spec-M? I've never heard of this intercooler from Greddy before. I heard of the Spec-V and R. Is this the lower one which used Bar and Plate instead of the Tube and Fin? Looks nice by the way.

You have a wierd mod path. Intercooler, O2 housing and exhuast manifold as the first stage of modifications?

Why would you ask what gains you would get from a mod AFTER purchasing it?

It is the cheaper one. Not sure if it uses bar and plate cause bar and plate actually is better than tube and fin from what ive read. I thought all Greddy intercoolers were tube and fin. Hell... Most intercoolers on the market are tube and fin because its cheaper to manfacture.

I was told that it wouldent decrase the Hp so i wasn't worried...
I was more interested in keeping the temp down because of the number of blown turbo's in this area. (playing it safe).

-I got the tubo back exhaust first followed by the the boost controller
-I then installed the intercooler for reasons mentioned above.
-The majority of the cars here are porshes, lambo's, Z06's etc they just keep on going at hight speeds while i trail behind.

From what i know an exhaust manifold and an O2 Housing and a good tune would help me out.

You didn't mention the boost controller in your first post. But its still wierd first SET of mods. Your OK with me on the exhuast and the boost controller, but the intercooler and exhuast manifold probably won't do to much for you at this point. A good tune would be advisable.

Droping the manifold for now might be a good idea. If you have any plans of upgrading the turbo and go with a kit like Buschurs, AMS, or even HKS and Greddy type kits normally come with a different exhaust manifold.

Can you say lag? Freakin 1000+hp drag turbo there! Also with what you've got done and a tune you should be looking at close to, if not over, 300whp.
