Fixing Rock Chips
What is the best way to fix rock chips? I know you can touch them up. There are those companies that come out and can fix them i think. I believe they use an airbrush or something? Does anyone know about this? Any other suggestions? My commute is killing my hood
Well the only real way to fix chips, is to have the hood and bumper sanded down and resprayed. You can try to use the touch up paint kits and then buy some 2500 grit paper to wet sand the touch ups down but be prepared to have to buff the hell outta those areas leading to having to buff the whole fron end and then the whole car cause the buffed areas will be way shinyer so you end up doing the whole car anyway.
After you fix em, checkout some of the clear bra solutions. 3M makes a clear vinyl "sticker" that you can buy pre cut and put over the hood, fenders, and bumper to protect it. Good luck!
