I'm thinking of changing my bulbs to 5300k.

Just need to figure out which bulb type I need...

BTW, go w/ 5300k and not some bling bling colors. You want the brightness...

I'm assuming you have the McCulloch kit. How long did you have them?

I know a dude that put a set of aftermarket HID's on his evo, they work pretty well and they are waterproof. They are the same kit on eBay that has a video demo of them putting the bulb and ballast into a fish tank full of water after the bulb has been turned on. Completely waterproof. Im sure if you look hard enough you'll find them. I think they were under 200 bucks.

Sorry I didn't completely understand your question. The D2R or D2S will only fit vihecles with OEM HID kits. Non HID Projector will need a 9006 bulb but you know that.

If you want a good ballast (Phillips) and don't mind paying a little more. Check these guys out, they give you free 2-3 day delivery.

Is it direct plug and play. This picture looks like it isn't.

Now that's what i'm talking about. Pictures of it against a wall would be most helpful.

I had them for 6months or so. Yes, 9006 type is needed for non-HID housing.

they worked like charm, no issues at all...

The McCulloch kit looks pretty promising. The Denso ballast kit looks good also. Now I don't know which kit to go for anymore.

Does the EvoIX go with Replaceable halogen capsules or with HID headlamps?
