Chime in if you have aftermarket HID kits

Ok i'm looking to get an aftermarket HID kit. Now the question is who should I go with. There's the ebay kits(cheap $180) then there's the xenondepot kit($350). I want the best bang for my buck so if you've gotten these ebay kits and they are still running strong chime in and let me know, or if they suck and failed after a couple of months let me know also. The main question is what do you have, how long, does the kit scatter alot of light and how do you like it? I'm trying to do a compare to see which kit is right for me. Also pictures would be nice because I would like to see how the cutoff looks for these aftermarket kits(pointing at a garage or something). I know these aftermarket kits will not be as good as retrofitting but I don't want to go that route. Thanks in advanced!

Someone on this forum recommended this site awhile back and to me they seem to be very good. Using Hella/Phillips ballast and D2S bulbs (also recommended by the memebers on this forum). You should check it out.

Ok so you're using the Hella/Phillips ballast and d2s bulbs with your non hid projectors? Is it still just plug and play? I'm assuming you go the 379 kit?

If you're asking, is it possible to install HID bulbs into a non HID housing, then yes. Non-HID projectors and HID projector do have different cut off (not really sure what this is). You're going to get a lot of different opinions like it won't be as bright and such and such. If you do a search then you'll see a lot of individual are happy about it and say that it's very bright.

Just make sure that you order a kit and the bulb fits into a 9006 housing. Evo with OEM HID has a 9005 housing.

I had 5300k no brand HID from HIDPLACE.com, I think.

This was plug and chuck on my 04 RS. Those non-hid projector lens on Evos are great! I had focused wide and super BRIGHT beams out of those. It was much brighter than my current OEM HID on 06 SE.

I'm thinking of changing my bulbs to 5300k.

Just need to figure out which bulb type I need...

BTW, go w/ 5300k and not some bling bling colors. You want the brightness...
