IX front fascia on VIII car - Anyone done this?

IX front fascia on VIII - Can this be done without much hassle??? Hopefully just a bumper beam change and that's it???

I like the looks of the IX fascia a bit more but I don't want to afford a new IX when it comes time to buy my EVO.

TIA...

Bumper beam and cover. But I personally would stick with the VIII front as it allows more air flow to the FMIC. And I dont want to be the guy to say search, but if you do you will find a lot of info on this.

I'll be doing this in the next couple of weeks. It sounds very straightforward.

Maybe I'm missing something here but to me the VII had the best looking front fasica and then it went downhill for the VIII and then another step down for the IX.

i did mine about 6 months ago. the only problem i came across, was, you will need to purchase some new mesh for it, unless you find on that includes all the grill inserts. you may also have to purchase some other odds and ends for it. your best bet is to purchase one straight from mitsubushi, that way you know it comes with everything. here are some pics of mine. also, i am still looking for the actual front emblem for the bumper. the mitsubishi dealership i bought the grills and emblem from are morons, and i had to rig a rear emblem on the front grill. it has worked so far. lol

Looks awesome!!!! I'd definitely get my stuff straight from Mitsu. An autocross guy I know owns Showcase Mitsu here in MI...he's already looking into the part # for me. hehehehehe...

05 EVO RS - Car looks and sounds great!!! Wish I could get that car but I need to trade my truck in since the market ofr F150's is let's say...FLOODED right now.

BrianH - Look @ my join date. Old skool n00b here and old skool p0st wh0r3 on NASIOC.

Anyhoo...thx for the info guys!!! I'm hoping to find my EVO in Jan.
