Best way to spend $2800?
Come spring time, the mods will slowly work their way onto my Evo IX. Does this plan sound like a good idea? I don't want to void the warranty immediately... if something turns out to be defective I'd like to know before I start implementing significant mods.
Also, do my HP estimates seem accurate? Thanks in advance.

I think you're planning WAY too far ahead and guessing with numbers that you don't really have anyway of telling. Your best best is just get the Warrtalon stage package when you're ready to mod. Until then you don't have to worry about anything else and just focus on saving money.
Key beginning mods: MBC, Boostgauge.

first you dont need the fuel pump for the evo 9. plus, your car will run rich with it without a tune.
some hidden things you can do are port the exhaust manifold, hotside and O2 housing. there is about a 15-20 whp in doing that. you can also get a base flash from AL for a stock car.

What are your longterm goals? Instead of saying I have 2.8K what can I buy because it is burning a hole in your pocket.
I just put on a o2 housing/TBE/intake with a flash running 24-25psi on 100 oct. and it still feels slow, but my last 2 cars trapped 125-126mph.
I did it just to tide me over until a 35/37R get's thrown on the car. Your mod list looks okay. I would do this:
Megan o2/TBE
Cheap intake kit
Jestr/TTP e-flash
LICP
MR BOV
280 cams
MBC/boost guage
Should get 350whp, but depending on your background it still may not feel fast.

Personally, on a IX, I would just do a retune with the K&N (heck, you need an airfilter and you can reuse the K&N) and leave it at that for power mods. Then spend money on things like brake pads, rotors, brake lines, brake cooling, tires, tranny fluids, and lots of track time
Spend $ on coilovers, sway bars, endlinks, downpipe & catback exhaust
My Cusco type 2E coilovers - $1700
Cusco rear sway bar - $250
Whiteline Endlinks - $150
Invidia Dp & CBE - $650
With shipping and install's it came to more then $2800 but there you go.
Don't you want your car to handle great before you try to make it faster
The car handles nice from factory but you would love the way it handles after giving it some suspension goodies
I always do suspension first on all my cars. So I do have upperintercooler piping intake, bov and a ecuReflash on top of that above for more power but the above is what I have did first.

An Evo IX with stage 1 (exhaust/filter/tune) is pretty potent! Close to 400hp crank. Local tune, buschur, ams, vishnu, whatever you think.
nah...
you can go buy AMS stages or BR stages...those obiviously work
or you can do your own stuff
TBE
Fuel pump
O2 housing
cams
cam gears
intake (which isnt really needed since our stock one is good for ~400 hp...you can keep stock airbox and use K&N drop in or HKS hybrid)
MBC
gauges (boost, egt, and whatver else you want)
tune
that'll probably be over 2800 esp because of labor.
a TBE can set you behind ~1000, depending on which you buy.
if you want the MOST HP gains...use your 2800 for a turbo kit.

Thanks for the feedback. Labor is a non-issue because my friend has a shop and we'll do the installs.
Are you sure I don't need a fuel pump for the IX to hit 400hp at the crank? I also don't see it running rich just because of a stronger pump... the injectors will spray what they're told to spray, no?
I may change my mind with the engine mods after the Stage 1 package and opt to go for suspension... I guess it all depends on what I crave more at that point.
Thanks again.

ShamelessCookie, ignore the white noise, because you are on the right track.
I do recommend STARTING with the WT/BR stg1, and then go from there. Don't get a K&N filter only to later get an HKS RS. Also, don't start with a fuel pump. If you get the fuel pump, which is a good idea, get it along with the WT package, install it all together, and get flashed accordingly. The o2 housing is great, but you don't need to mess with the tubular header. Just stay right there with Buschur and port/coat your stock manifold - it costs less, makes more power, and won't be prone to cracking. Definitely avoid the Helix IC pipe kit - get a BR LICP, but you don't need a UICP. You can get all of this stuff right there at Buschur all in one shot to make it easy, or you can piece it together slowly...
