Just my thoughts, perhaps just a little more than what you had in mind.

Basically, I'd steer WELL clear of the HKS intake. You might as well just put a piece of wire mesh on the turbo inlet. It only filters out things larger than insects.

By the time you're bored of the 2007 mods, it will most likely be 2008 already hence I suppose you won't have time to add too much to it in 2008. And since you'll be doing the O2 housing, you might as well do the exh. mani at the same time. At least brake lines should be good at this point, just a random thing I think you might want. I don't thing you'll need the UICP, so I'd say an LICP should be more than sufficient. I've heard great things about sway bars so you might consider it also.

Once you get to 2009, when your evo would be feeling a little old, it might be a good time to add cams as well as a fuel pump then get a custom tune. This should breathe more life into the old girl.

Just my $0.02...

Thanks all!

So everyone agrees... drop the full IC piping kit and HKS intake. Go with just a LICP.

And people appear to be split as to go with Exhaust Mani/O2 or suspension. This probably comes down to my intentions for the car....

Seeing as warranty is a concern of mine, I may end up going with suspension before significant engine mods.

Thanks again

This is the route I've taken. Car has enough power for now. Opposed to my wrx I kept spending money left and right and never came close to what I am pulling in my IX with just a TBE, tune and K&N. Save ur money and I wouldnt void my warrenty either

What warranty? I know some dealers are cool but many are not. Maybe I just have bad blood because of the way I have been treated at them back when I got the car in 2003.... I would really include cams in your list once you feel comfortable voiding your warranty, or should I say that false sense of security Mitsubishi calls a warranty by name but by nature technically isn't....

You are definitely naive if you believe this comment. If you do even a SINGLE suspension mod, Mitsu can void the ENTIRE warranty. It has been done and will be done again. It doesn't matter, though, because just about ALL of these mods are going to void the warranty, but I didn't want you to think that doing your suspension was less likely to void the warranty than porting your stock manifold. It is COMPLETELY the opposite...

Mitsu would have to prove that my mods contributed towards the failure... I realize many dealerships & Mitsu themselves are very quick to refuse cars with ANY mods...

my legal right remains... if the tranny dies, my lowering springs are not to blame.

Yeah, good luck with that. Apparently, you know everything you need to know.

FYI...ALL those mods you just named WILL void warranty. if anything goes wrong with something that you modified then they can void your warranty. if you're that concerned, then dont mod it. evos are fast already
