Morgantown, WV and back from the DC area in one day. No problems and extremely long stretchs open of road made it bearable. Plus skyline drive is a major bonus. The droning was horrendous though, and I have the pretty quiet Taipan XP exhaust (Old Vishnu standard).
1) Fresno to Escondido and back (5 hours each way) 2) Fresno to Bishop and back (6 hours each way) and various others. Only thing that was a little tiresome? No cruise control. Other than that, the Evo is a great long-distance trip car (at least for me).

C-town, MI to Philly/NYC/NJa few times - about 12 hours one way. NYC to Upstate NY/CAN a few times And C-town to Cleveland, all the time for work - 3.5 hrs one way. Never have wondered why my 05 has 55k
3 hours is nothing
But I am from CA. Im used to sitting in a car for long periods and not going very far.

Longest I've done is five or six hours from Raleigh, NC to Atlanta, GA. Yeah, it's definitely hard on your right leg; whenever I drive for more than two hours I convince myself that my next mod has to be cruise control.
I drove from New Hampshire to Maryland (west of Baltimore). It took me between 8 and 9 hours to get down there, same on the way back. Did a lot of driving while down there also. I was suprised at how comfortable the car was. I drove the whole way, while a buddy of mine slept for a long time.
ive driven mine from Pennsylvania to colorado...17 hrs first day...8 hrs the second....I found myself limping around after the first 8 hrs from my knee being sore due to the lack of cruise control.... No exactly the most fun car ive driven across country...I also had some problems with bad gas at gas stations in the middle of no where. I stopped for gas in a town in Nebraska and i was stared at by all the locals...i think they thought my car was some kind of UFO
A couple of Raleigh guys and I joined SGT Blamo(sp?) for a dragon run. We must have driven over 15 hrs that entire day starting at about 5 am and ending at about 3 am (with breaks in between).
My root and left legs got pretty sore but the Evo gas pedal has enough tension to rest your leg (angled) on it and still cruise at 60mph. The rest of me was fine. The only thing I'd really have liked would have been cruise control and Climate control.
