I had a blast. I decided to head back to Houston in Oct. Plan on heading back to Chicago some time soon. Car has been running great. I change the oil every 3k.

speedfreak0920 - I suggest you make a screen protector for your FMIC, I did and I think it saved me from seriously damaged fins. Easy enough to do. I used screening I bought from Home Depot - fairly cheap and you will have plenty left over for future use. I mounted it to the mesh grill with zip ties. Someone did a write up on this, it was an evo8, but either way it is a good idea.

Speed- Here is a link to the IC screen protector. While it does restrict cooling a little bit, it is worth it, and besides you won't be in boost the ENTIRE trip, and it is much cooler now- as opposed to when I took my road trip. And I was in boost a lot and watched the temp gauge like a hawk.

South Coast Mitsu in CA to home in east TN. ~2400 miles, 2000+ on I40. ~3.5 days of driving at a leisurely pace. It's actually ~2200 miles but I took a few scenic routes

after ~2 hrs the seats get uncomfortable for me- not enough lower back support and too tight on the lats. I had an airline pillow for my back which helped a lot.

My drive from school back home is 5hrs. From Pullman to seattle. My longest and really the only road trip was about a month ago. Started in Pullman to Seattle picked up my friend. Then to Buttonwillow to watch the Redline time attack. After so many hours of driving it felt like my ankle felt like it was on fire. Then back to Pullman and then to Seattle and then back to Pullman. 4500 miles in 6 days. It was a blast though. A lot of cool people no problems other than about 34 mpg the entire trip and $800 in gas bills. Plus the car is not to comfortable to sleep in.

Wash DC -> Sacramento (and back)
Wash DC -> Salt Lake City

The right foot does get a little cramped, but the seats are good and supportive (as long as the road is smooth)
