oh i forgot to add to the post above that i didnt badger them about buying me a new car i simply never liked the protege so they offered to buy me a new car after a year of driving the protege if i proved to them that i was responsible and stayed out of trouble.

Of course we would all jump on the opportunity, but that doesn't make it right. Rather than go from 90 hp to 280 hp, why not go from 90 to 200 and learn to drive on that?

that's only 1/3 the power of an evo, you dont have any tickets because if you floor the accelerator your still going the speed limit for who knows how long

i've thought about me winning an evo for free, but i wouldnt be able to keep it regardless because i cant afford mantainence, gas, insurance. if your parents are willing to pay all of that until your finished college then for you!
your $100 paycheck will cover gas alone, good luck lol

IMO buy something slower, like a srt-4 or an sti (lol)

any car can go above the speed limit though even a geo metro but that doesnt mean you have to do it. plus for the past 4 months i've been sharing the titan with my dad because i'd rather take out a nicer car on the weekends then my beater although i do have a 10" jl w7 in my car. the titan has like 300 hp true its heavy but i accelerates a lot faster than my car.

If you don't plan on going above the speed limit, why buy a new car? Doesn't the protege work?

I think if you want it than go for it, I would be humble about it though and stop trying to defend your decision, because you sound like a skycrane, if you get it then come back and show everyone and they will all congratulate you. If you wreck it they will all make fun of you. That is just the nature of the Evo community.

"Settle" for a WRX? What the ****? Most kids your age would give anything to have a new WRX and you are "settling" for one?

Do you understand how that makes you look?

Agreed, did you also have to settle for Gucci and Abercrombie and Fitch? That just comes of as the most spoiled attitude possible.

i didnt mean to sound spoiled and no i dont wear gucci or abercrombie and fitch well my mom got me 2 shirts from there for xmas cause they were on sale for $15. honestly though i usually shop at tj max or marshals because i can find the same stuff for cheaper with the exception of hollister, which i like. i dont get a lot of expensive stuff i just ment that i could the evo but if the situation i stated earlier arises then i will get the wrx instead of pushing for the evo since i would rather see my grandfather before he dies and he means more to me than a car would.
