Just was wondering wtf is that thing doing in the headlight housing if it doesnt work at all.!! Im Can someone explain?

There are a lot of features to a headlight, I know the guy who designed the headlight for the evo from II Stanley Japan. I will have to look at the headlight to see what you are talking about, but I can gaurantee it has a function.

what model evo do you have?

Do you have fog lights?

where in the headlight is this black projector? If its the closest projector to the center then its the location for the stock fogs and your car didnt come equipped w/ fogs obviously

 

i have just the regular evo ix 06 and no i dont have the fogs because there are 2 little buttons on the lower part of the dash to the left of the steering wheel that are just filled in..but look like they could be functional if you choose to use them...

 

Yea, they are the optics for the fog bulbs, which I guess don't come standard on your model. I got the IX MR and they come standard.

 

You can put a HID Fog Kit in that blank and replace the Projector's with a HID kit. Search around this site for some deals, these's a few vendor selling complete kits.

 

Is the the whole set up behind the face plate or do you have to do custom work to put the hid kit in there?

It isn't custom, because they come stock on other models. You just don't have the setup, just another purchase for you.
