Retuned!!!

So Junior and I just got back from Turbotrix.

Went down at about 5am this morning, got the test pipe installed and some bugs worked out for the retune. The first pull with the test pipe added in yielded 369/306, this was with the AMS flash.

Paul then began to work his magic. When all was said and done he had it up to 401/323 on 93 Oct and the flash. This was not enough, so he decided to go with AEM and they installed it right on the dyno. By the time they finished tuning, his final numbers were 436/358 on 93oct. The car pulls like a beast and was surely fun to see with a new mustang, sti, and r1.

MAJOR PROPS to Paul, Mark, Mike, Keith, Diesel, Icess and the rest of the TTR family.

PS - You guys really gotta get them dogs looked at, I've got some FUNNY videos on my phone of them, haha.

Have you seen over 500whp on 93 octane without water/alky injection? I doubt it.

So have i..Mark tuned an evo IX on a flash before the AEM came out, and the results were impressive. The car made over 550whp @ 35psi on c16. The customer drove the car for about a week, and eventually sucked in the honey combs from the mass airflow sensor. So to answer your question, yes it has been done before, but not on pump gas, and it isn't worth it especially since the IX box is available now.

Tim,
Glad you guys enjoy the car. Have fun with it, and put the hurtin on the Mustang. lol

Man - I love you guys ! What an adventurous team you are 5:00 a.m. - this is great dedication - you sure changed your ways since the last tardy appearane resulted in a one week hotel stay!

I am really happy your car is making some POWA !

BTW - just curious - did the stand alone help resolve any of the compressor surge condition you were having before or is that situation unchanged ?

Best luck with the newly retuned whip

You sure deserve it after all you have been through.

I would sure like to meet up with you one day and show you my evo - seeing as we both live in the same area.

Best of luck with the new set up.

Compressor surge on a 35r usually occurs when when running some boost (28-30psi) loading the car at low RPM in a high gear....i can't see him having compressor surge at such low boost (21-23 psi) unless the vacuum hole on the compressor housing was left open or something of that matter...

The EMS was quick to install...just had to modify the intake pipe, and wire the map sensor

Enjoy the car Junior
