is the compressor outlet 2 in and the intlet on the intercooler 2.5?
i think its their for a reason too, its cheaper to sell the pipe with a 1.75 to 2.0 coupler than it is for a 1.75 to 2.5 coupler

and im pretty sure the turbo outlet is 1.75 and yes the IC is 2.5

Nooo...because they wouldnt spend the money taking the time to weld that taper into the pipe. It would be cheaper to just make a 2.5 in pipe the entire length.

No just how cheaply they can make the parts in stock form and be functional.

ok so back to on topic .... 2.5 from outlet to IC better then 2.0 bottling up to 2.5 ? steel to aluminum affect performance that much ?

The diameter won't matter as much as the smoothness of the curves taken, the least amount of bends the better. The products I've seen use a solid 2.5" tube with a reinforced silicone adapter that goes from the 2.5" to 2" outlet on the compressor. I'll leave it to you to choose a quality vendor to buy it from.

As for material choose either it wont matter in performance, the air will pass through too quickly to dent the output temperature by a great deal. For durability purposes the steel piece will take more abuse from the shipping company and hold up than the aluminum counterparts. After its bolts onto your car it wont matter.

stainless or aluminum......problem with stainless is it has lesser ability to conduct the heat than the mild steel. Bonus is you dont have to worry about rust. But with aluminm, you get great physical characteristics + its anti corrosion properties.....the choice is simple.
