thanks
cold air intakes are pointless on turbo cars, just get a buschur or ets intake and call it a day. or make your own and get a maf adapter.

Has anyone tried this?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-05-LANCER-EVO-VIII-EVO8-4-POINT-UNDER-CHASIS-BRACE-BAR-STAINLESS-STEEL-/130828811447?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e76013cb7&vxp=mtr
I bought my car with no stock underbraces. This thing is cheaper than just buying a pair of stockers. Free shipping, too. I'd like to get a nice Cusco brace some day, but budget doesn't allow, yet.

I seea lot of people comment about Godspeed intercoolers. I ran one on my last car with some knockoff greddy pipes that came with it in a kit. The Intercooler heat soaked almost immediately, and the pipes were thin enough to bend the ends out of shape by hand, let alone with the dollar store clamps they sent with the kit. Don't fool yourself, bigger doesn't necessarily mean better with intercoolers. Just because a cooler says it will support up to 500 hp doesn't mean it's not already holding you back at the 450 hp level.

In the same respect, the idea of "a pipe is a pipe" is also incorrect. I had an eBay 3" dp on the same car I just mentioned, and it cracked open no less than 5 times in three years.

I'm not going to say everything on eBay is crap, but when it comes to engine parts, definitely do your research if its in the off-brand territory

All depends if you get lucky or not, a buddy of mine got a godspeed IC 3.5 inch on his 8 and ran it over a year with 408whp, and it help up just fine but i myself would rather pay a bit more and insure quality and saftey.

My brother ran a no name ebay catback on his 8, it help up fine very deep sounding exhaust just needed to be bend a little to fit perfectly

So as it sits on the car, thats not connected, but that will be addressed shortly.

But for $45, and drilling a couple holes, It is certainly better then the stock Money well spent.
when installing this you need to make sure the car is on a flat surface or else the chassis will flex and the holes will not line up. try to put the car on small 2x6 blocks of wood or put it on alignment jack so its flat and in fact you may have to try jacking up the car from different corners a bit to get the holes to line up. making the holes wider will weaken the structure a bit by letting the screws move under pressure.

The SS o2 housing is by far the best part you can purchase on ebay. Others work but the quality and performance usually have something to be desired

For $45 you cant really go wrong experimenting with that ebay under chassis brace. From experience with these type of ebay parts, fitment will be hit or miss though.
It looks to possibly copy the Rhys Millen brace a bit.

I would say this ebay unit is a good choice for those wanting to replace those rusty oem braces on a budget.

Didn't check the whole thread because I'm on my phone but has anyone tried the 'speed racer' 3" catback. It kinda of looks like the tanabe medallion but for <$150 shipped. I like that I looks more stock with an oval muffler instead of a big round canister

Edit to include link and pic:

I think you have to use your brain when ordering stuff off ebay. Make sure you research what you are buying. There are good parts and cheap crap.

Im not a big ebay parts supporter, however I came across this f/sway. How bad could a 22m steel sway bar be?
