So many nuts/bolts/screws involved. I remember looking down at my magnetic tray and it resembling a little volcano made of nuts and bolts Oh and why do they make the interior pieces of our cars so damned sharp?

Craziness I tell you!

As usual you are a wild man Sir! I sooooooooooo want to replace those controls, but I don't know that I have enough cool resolve to do the job without having to be committed.

How many hours do you have in it?

I set aside a day for the project. I knew mine would be a bit more of a pain due to things like a now non removable shift knob and the way I had a few items mounted on my dash Had to use a friend's garage so in between stopping points I would relax in a Recaro pick up random wireless networks and browse the forums. I now want to find a spare oem Recaro and make it a computer desk. $100 and I'll fix your temp control flapper. Funny thing is, the dealership books only bill out 1.7 hours for this job. I may be broke but I am very happy I didn't take the job at Mitsu

the line for your heat knob might have a kink in it.

i have the same problem - when i got my new HU installed, my install guy said the line was kinked and that was why it was hard to turn - take that for what its worth
