don't the turbo connect to the manifold which goes into the engine and so on? I say the amount of time and effort to take the turbo out of a turbo car is as hard and probably more expensive than replacing it. But do try it if you have the resources
Oh by the way if you're planning to do it for an EVO that you're gonna buy...tell ya what sell me your turbo hehe. Goodluck!

of couse you can take the turbo out but why???
you will have to fab up a header of some short and the car now much be tuned to run without the turbo
the motor was built to run with a turbo
the with the low *** compression i would expect anywhere from 100-140whp and that in a 3300 pound car it will the slowest thing on the road

Yes, hollow out the turbo. Then port and polish the valve stems in the tires, resurface your left front axle and throw a bunch of performance company stickers on the doors and hood.
Don't forget to go get a VTEC badge to finish the job. If you're going to do it, go all out!
