Acceleration Questions
Hmm, I leave for a few hours and things get out of hand.
Riceball - what in the hayul are you talking about? Stock 03s and 04s trap 101-103, and they are the slowest ones. 05s can trap 103-105 (mine went 13.1@104), and 06s have trapped as high as 107 in 100% stock form. I have never seen a 350z or s2000 trap that high nor run a high 12 in stock form. By no means is a stock IX "very slow slow" as you put it...
Topnotchtsi, you don't have an Evo, so you don't know that your recommendation is not sound. On a IX, JUST doing a TBE and doing it first is not very helpful. You're talking $600-800 for 15-20whp when you can get 30-40whp from a $300-400 flash. Yes, the TBE is a GREAT mod for any Evo, but it doesn't make sense to do it as a "first" mod unless it's combined with an MBC, a flash, or both (preferably both).
1NASTYIXMR - No, a cat-back adds little power...around 10-12whp at best, so you're feeling a placebo. Getting 10-12whp for the price of anything made by HKS, you do not get much value whatsoever.
TVA - no need for the intake and CERTAINLY no need for the hard pipe suggestion
STOCK EVOLUTION - the first answer to your questions is "No." The second answer to your question is "Good God, how about searching?" The third comment, which isn't an answer to your question, is that if that intake in your sig is the K&N Typhoon, you need to take it off the car and get rid of it immediately.
