Mounting the Apexi AVC-R

Install isn't a problem, but could someone possibly direct me to a thread where AVC-R mounting and placement is discussed?

It's an awkward unit to place, and even Jap double sided tape seems to eventually wear out and stop sticking. I was thinking of mounting it on the dash using the Apexi holder and the supplied tape, but as I live in a hot environment I don't think the tape will last too long.

I don't have a spare DIN sized hole due to a double DIN stereo and the air con, so putting it there is probably out.

Any ideas, or directions to the appropriate thread please?

Thanks.

Would it fit in the sunglasses cubby? My friend has his SAFCII up there, but i don't know if they are the same size or not.

Try the heavy duty 3M double sided tape. It's gray with red backing and it's weather proof. The hotter it gets the stickier it gets.

Yeah when I had one in my car, it was velcro'ed to the console ahead of the shifter, it spent most of its time stowed in the glove box anyway.

EclipseMblue has a nice mount spot.
avcr has the feature raise how bright the unit gets.
This would be a good tool when mounted in his position.
