some cheap guys on this forum.. damn...

you would rather risk your life than but some winter tires for your LANCER EVOLUTION?

If not for yourself, consider the other people on the road who you are putting in harms way by driving with your Advans in the winter.

damnn I've been driving with the Advans here in Los Angeles and there's no problem hahaha

However I will be moving to Utah in a couple of months and I know they have some very cold snowy winters.... should I get all season tires or winter tires? and of course I'm looking into the the most cost effective choice.

KDASH. Spend a few mintues researching the topic. I live in Boulder and couldnt image driving my evo in this weather with those tires.

You own an expensive car. BUY winter season tires ASAP. TRUST all of us when we say that. Those tires have way to of a hard compound to grip the road in any cold conditions.

I'm pretty sure they dont use salt on the roads here.

BUY BETTER TIRES FOR THE WINTER NOW. If the last 3 Big storms havent enlightened you, come on. Plus you can take them off and use them for a couple winter seasons. Well worth the money.

WINTER JUST BEGAN!

TYPE R...

Winter tires are really awesome tires inthe snow. These days they are really designed to work and perform great in those conditions. I would try to go Winter tires in UTAH also. They are a much more softer compound with many slits in the rubber to grap the cold snow and ice. If you use winters tires in the summer, they have great traction, but are soft and wear out quite fast. Its always nice to be able to switch to the summer tire and vice versa as they seasons change.

I' ve used the Blizzakz for years on different cars and they are incredble in the ice and snowy conditions.

FYI they don't use salt in CO. CDOT uses sand and mag chloride.

^ Yes you can use all seasons. They will perform okay and get you where you need to go. No they will not wear out fast. All seasons have the longest tread life of any style tire. A dedicated snow tire is, however, the best option.

Luckily I don't have to worry about snow here in south Texas. I have the stockers but will probably go with Bridgstone pole positions for replacements. There are some occasions where the weather gets down in the 20-30's -- but not very often. So I keep the same tires year around.

If I lived someplace that snowed or had commonly cold weather (near freezing and below) you're damn skippy I'd be rolling on all seasons or have a separate set of winter tires.
