your salesperson did a great job on his walk around of the car for you. when i sold these i made a point of telling people that these seats do not fold down. if you ever look in the rs you will see the metal x that goes across the back seat.

 

To be honest, there wasn't any walk-around. I've been in and driven Evos before, so when I went in, I only had to choose the one that I wanted and negotiate the best price.

He didn't do any selling at all. After the test drive, he told me to go test drive any other cars that I had in mind (STi, 335i, GTI), and that selling one more Evo wasn't gonna make or break him, so he wasn't gonna try to convince me to buy it.

To be honest, I would've bought it even if I knew that the rear seats didn't fold down. I just wish that I knew before I went to the store. I felt like a dumbass sitting there in the parking lot for 5 minutes trying to figure out how to fold the seats.

 

yes it sucks that the evos rear seats do not fold down
so going snowboarding sucks
in my integra or any other car you can use fold the seats down and stick as many snow boards in the trunk

for the evo i have snoboards on the back seat ans sticking out the window

 

My Rx-8 seats don't fold down either. Many BMW seats don't fold down although it is an option on some models. Funny how BMW want you to pay like $400 for folding seats on a 50k+ car.

 

Crap, I didn't even think of that! I was planning on taking a trip in a couple of weeks. Bugger, I can't even put a roof rack on cuz of the aluminum roof.

 

Why would you want them to fold down anyway?

 

Did you even bother to read the original post? In order to fit a piece of furniture in his car.

I think it sucks that a 4 door car comes w/o folding seats, personally.
