Pics of my vandalized evo...
Let them total it and buy it back from the insurance co. Gut the car and turn it into a full track car.
Damn, if it was me someone would have a well whupped @$$, and I do mean "well" whupped. If I caught the dude he would be wishing I was the police. Hell hath no fury like an Evo owner with a vandalized Evo.
I am sitting here in totally shock. How sad and pathetic have we become as people to do this to something that someone obviously love?
I think if the criminal is caught, his nuts should be hancuffed to an Evo on the track and then launched.
Now I don't feel too bad with mine:

Don't worry Dude, I truly beleive in Karma. The perps will get theres but unfortunately you won't be there to rejoice. They always get theres one way or another.
I'm getting an alarm put in tommorow.

my friend is an insurance adjuster, I showed him these pics and his first impression was insurance fraud
I mean, have any of you seen another case where someone keyed a shift knob?
That's just silly.

Who knows.. sux eitherway.
I am an insurance adjuster also! Every time there is a vandalism with a nice car it seems like the insurance carrier assumes that it was the person that owns the vehicle. I typically give the benefit of the doubt to the insured unless there are huge red flags.
he might have and might not have. I did question the shift knob, but why would he just stop there and not scratch everything on the door panels, and why did he also just stop there why not scratch all of the exterior panels.
Also those are pretty deep scratches. His car is in very nice condition. It is not like it is a crappy car. Most of the time people have nice cars like this do the damages very lightly (ex: steering column is jacked and ripped out, from what I have seen is when the steering column is opened the wiring is nicely worked around, also with car stereos, the wiring is still there).
He parked the vehicle outside from what it looks like, it was not parked inside his garage when it happened, or at a gas station that has a camera. It is going to be hard to establish that the owner of the vehicle did it, unless there is a witness.
I could go on and on about this, but I have to get back to my other 150 claims

It was $350 OTD. I'll sleep better tonight and I will have my pager under my pillow.
