I test drove the IX while I had my VIII in the shop for an oil change. Nice car but I had troubles feeling which gear I was in. Probably something I'd get used to over time. What I didn't like was the, um, softer suspension. Too soft. I lost some of the feedback from the road. If you like it that way, then fine. If not, I'm sure you can spend some money to firm them up. On the OTHER hand, driving with the firmer suspension on broken snow/tarmac/ice sucks for comfort. I was unsure of the IX's leather composite seats until I test drove. I was afraid of sliding around, but it wasn't anywhere like that. I also do like the fact that the rear seats are a little bolstered I like the ADC (which I do not have on my VIII), but I think I'll see if the North American X has the SAYC. Why must we North Americans be happy with the EVO-Lite?

The MIVEC seemed to have a smoother power curve and it had a gggrrrlllll that my VIII doesn't. The salesman said "thats from the MIVEC." Um, ok? The IX is suppose to be +1 MPG better than the VIII, according to the window sticker I saw and from what the salesman told me. He also told me that the intercooler spray is always set for automatic, that's why there is no "manual" button. Other's have said that the whole intercooler spray was removed. All I know is that I have an VIII that sprays like a skunk.

And I would like a 2002 Nissan Skyline GTR R34 VspecII Nur. Black. I think it needs to be black. Or maybe blue. Blue is nice too.

I'm going to wait for the X to hit the shores, and then wait maybe a year for them to sort out the bugs on the new chassis. I don't really NEED to go in any more debt, however.

Horsepower is one thing. Control, stability, driver feedback, automobile responsiveness, torque, driver skill is another. Power means nothing if you're the last one to cross the finish line. Unless you're drag racing, then I guess its power and grip. These things I have learned through driving the EVO Again, I do like the ACD feature But, atlas, not on the VIII Ow ow, the flames are hot hot.

IX FTW! I love mine..............great power adder with the MIVEC over the 8. The IC spray was removed from all IX models. kinda sucks, id like to have had that feature.

IX is a little better car then VIII.
From my experience. But deffenitly faster then VIII out the box.
Now my experience is not really good to compere those ,since i got the 04 GSR SSL and i got the 06 IX RS.
Its a totally different animal.
