Quick question about flashing

I have an AMS reflash with just a catback and a drop in filter. I was thinking about switching to a open filter element. Would I need another reflash?

I really don't see a need for a open filter.
Stock is good for what you have done for now.

I have a complete TBE with stock intake and put down 305whp and 309 tq.

Why spend additional money on a flash with just a catback.
I would wait until you get a dowpipe and a hfc or testpipe and do a flash again.
You can add an open filter at the point.

Nice opinions but they are not really appreciated. When I ask for an opinion I will state that I want an opinion. I strictly wanted an answer. I have a reflash because you can reflash a stock evo and power gains will be phenomenal. I don't plan to get a full exhaust.

Sounds like someone is having a bad day.
I was just trying to offer tips/suggestions.
This is what this forum is about..helping each other.

Go ahead and spend $300 for a flash just for an intake and gain 3-5hp.
It's your money man.

Honestly man i'm not having a bad day i'm just sick of people giving opinions when none are asked for. I have an open element but never put it on. I debated on whether to put it on because I got decent gains from one with my gsx, however I also had alot more done to the gsx than my evo. Evos need a flash for just about anything so I just wanted to double check. I'm not going to get another reflash just to add an open filter element.

If you're not going to get another reflash for the intake then why bother posting a thread asking about it.

Other's are just making a recomendation and trying to help you save some time and money. You don't have to listen to them, but atleast try not to bash them for trying to help you.

Yes you will need a re-tune going to the open filter. That is if you want a safe tune.

True, but their airboxes alone costs more than our entire cars
