Not always true. Some of these transmissions are more commonly called "rock crusher" transmissions which do not need double clutching or rev matching. You simply shift as hard and as fast as you can and they simpy force their way into gear (aka motorcycle trans in a way). The faster you shift the better it does. These types of transmission are not normally used in street cars because you actually have more wear the slower you shift and they are very difficult to downshift. That trans sounds more to me like a sequential shift similar to a WRC car as said above.

Anybody notice that "600 bhp 200 sx" trapping only 123 in that video?

Norris evo rated at 730 trapped a tick under 140!

Awesome vid, I'm wondering if they brought the Green Evo IX to this track. I'm sure it would shatter every record with 800whp and very light weight!

You don't want to run a gear box like that without the synchro's the engagement is EXTREMELY harsh and will wear out quickly with normal use. I believe one site i was reading said the typical rebuild time on a dog box was about 30k miles.

If you look at how tall the shift lever is it looks like a sequential unit.(in the Evo)
