200 Mph Evo
I think white evo has got a dog box tranny.Dog boxes do not have syncro rings meaning you need to double clutch and rev match to engage the gear. Because there is no syncro the gear can be wider and thus stronger. A main complaint is the noise from these gears - very loud.

Not always true. Some of these transmissions are more commonly called "rock crusher" transmissions which do not need double clutching or rev matching. You simply shift as hard and as fast as you can and they simpy force their way into gear (aka motorcycle trans in a way). The faster you shift the better it does. These types of transmission are not normally used in street cars because you actually have more wear the slower you shift and they are very difficult to downshift. That trans sounds more to me like a sequential shift similar to a WRC car as said above.

I have a few other Norris Design videos on my site in his folder http://dsmvideo.vidiac.com/category/Norris+Design/0.htm
You don't want to run a gear box like that without the synchro's the engagement is EXTREMELY harsh and will wear out quickly with normal use. I believe one site i was reading said the typical rebuild time on a dog box was about 30k miles.
