Another hks rs intake thread
I tried searching but didn't really find anything.
I've heard/read that the hks rs intake filter doesn't filter real good. It flows good but little trash still gets through it. Does anybody have any answer for this? If it doesn't filter well, Can you double filter it? I already have the intake so, I just wanna be safe.

im running the stock mushroom filter on my rs intake but its not really dusty here where i live. not sure if theres a K&N style filter that could be retro fitted on the hard pipe.
where can i get the 3 layer dry type? Is it also made by hks?
Hey cfdfireman, did you change to apexi filter with the rs intake? Where's a good place to get the apexi filter??
Any other ideas or suggestions?

For the people that say the hks filter is ok take it off and look inside the intake pipe.

ok i got the filter and it works great... as for the dust i dont kno... i talked about this before with people... and they told me... where i live NYC i don't really have to worry about it... i mena if you live in a area where it's hot and there's sand and stuff... then yea... for my type of city... it's good...

I live on the coast in mississippi, a block from the beach. There's times when it gets windy and sand blows. I did take off the filter and checked inside. It is a lil dirty. I'll get another filter asap. Thanks
