General evo problems and clear bra?

Just want to get an idea of what kinds of problems everyone is having, if any, no matter how minor to anything major, besides the wing, calipers peeling....anything else?? Also does anyone have pictures of the clear bra for the front, either on or off the car?? Thanks all!

you ask for a pic of the clearbra either on or off the car. you do realize that once you install it, it's on the car until you "peel" it off, then it goes straight into the trash?
I have tried to take a pic of it on the car, but it's very hard to see unless the light is just right, or you are in-person up close.
I put mine on my 9 with only 100 miles on it. car now has 4k and the front only has one small chip, but it's the clearbra that chipped, not the paint. my old yellow 03 was riddled with small paint chips at 5k. mitsu's paint on the evo's sucks. it is the best mod that you can do imo to save the paint. most of the chips on my 03 were in the front 2ft of the hood.

Ah, so the clear bra..is it a clear sticky-type tape?? See I guess I have never "seen" one before and was thinking of a typical black bra, but clear....how long do they usually last for...and is there any sun fading around it with stock paint vs the clear bra when you remove it?

Ive had my clear bra through the worst CO weather for 6k and it has saved probably 10000000 chips from shi*ty roads. Definate go.

Just had the clear bra put on my wife's car. You can see a line from certain angles but for the most part you would not notice it. I will definitely put one on my next new car.

The front of my Evo looks like hell after 45K miles. I can deal with an annoying line much better than the freshly sandblasted look I've currently got going.

I like the look of the clearbra and it saves you from about 98% of the chips. We'll see my friend bought is IX 1 week before me so after this winter we'll see how bad his is compared to mine. I did the clearbra, mirrors, and fender triangles. The front bumper is naked but the urethane flex and flex paint they use holds up well IMO.

What about washing and waxing the car with the bra on? Do you have to take any special precautions?

Before the glue sets you want to be careful around it. Once its been in the sun a few times and sets its not going anywhere.

On my 03 VIII I had 3 of my calipers paint chip off, all replaced under warranty, also my rear wing the clear coat came off. These are my only problems besides having a car I never want to get rid of

You should do some research on the internet about clear bras.

Problems with my IX:

- The interior rattles a bit.
- Alignment was off a bit.
- Too tempting to mod. :-)
