"failure to drive right"??? What is that about. In Cali, if you are involved in an accident and are at fault and leave the scene, that is automatic 5 years in prison.

Glad you got her insurance info. I can't believe they didn't ticket her for hit and run!

Dude, if I were you I would call the milford police and file a complaint. You cant let people get away with crap like that. Next time she is going to do it again. Derby = trash

i would contact the police dept that you filed the accident with and find out why she wasnt charged with leaving the scene of a accident. most likely she played it off that she didnt realize she had hit anyone or some nonsense. at least her insurance is taking care of the damage

There is a restaurant at that mall that serves alcohol...perhaps she would prefer a possible H&R instead of the breathalizer?

Either way, now begins the waiting process. Her insurance company said they'd "try" to stop by today...while I'm tempted to tell them I'll get it fixed and send the bill lol

Then I have to have someone take it in for an estimate on monday (since I'm at work), then wait for parts, and then wait for a date to get the work done, and then wait for them to do it all...*sigh*

In most cases I would tend agree if it were just a simple fender-bender. It's an honest mistake. Nobody tires to crash their car. But she compounded her first mistake with another one. The second was worse because it was a conscience decision to run like hell rather than face the music. If it were me I'd ask to press charges for hit-and-run. Nothing short of a criminal charge will teach people like that. Next time she might really hurt somebody and/or succesfully flee the scene.
