How many of you all get that feeling like your car is getting "slower"?

I bought my Evo back in December of last year...so I've only had it for just under 2 months. The car when I first got it felt great, everytime I hit the gas pedal I felt a surge of power. I got an AMS baseflash...and then that surge was gone. Thinking maybe it was just me, I've been daily driving it waiting for my stage 1 stuff to come in.

I punched it on the highway tonight coming home from work...and the car just didn't seem like it was fast anymore--it didn't have the surge from before nor did it seem to accelerate like I remember it when I first got it.

Is it possible that a brand new car could have a boost leak? Or am I just simply getting used to the car?

You probably just got use to the power. You may also try cleaning or replacing your stock air filter. It seems after about 5k it doesn't work as well. Replacing/Cleaning it may revive some performance.

You could also try reseting your ecu by disconnecting your battery cable for a few minutes.

I agree. Take out another car for a couple days and then go back to the evo and see how it is.

I think you would get used to the power no matter hosepower you have, that is until you get to 600whp?
