..no haha. The stock advans are amazing.

I equate the Advans in snow to trying to run up a ski slope in dress shoes.(but worse!!) Very scary experience to get caught in snow with the Advans. Definately woth the money to throw on all-seasons!!

Tirerack won't even rate them for winter
these are the Advans mine came stock with (Advan A046

Yea, lets blame Mitsu when they even go to the extent of WARNING the customer when they buy the car...

Honestly, its mentalities like this that make me wonder how Mitsu or any other auto company can successfully sell high performance cars in the US. I hate when people rather place the blame on someone else rather than being honest and taking the blame they deserve.

And in regards to your claim of insurance being high because of the tires, thats a no. Its high because the car ends up in the hands of young drivers, and when wrecked they are often complete write-offs.

Isn't there a big **** warning when you buy the car about never to use summer tires in winter conditions? I personally do not understand how someone can buy a car like this and not learn simple things like this in advance.

I've been able to deal with the Nebraska weather so for on my advans, but I agree, they're definately crap in the snow.

Shiz happens. You live you learn. Someone did it last year with my Advans too. Drove a bit more cautiously this year when it snowed and did just fine. I don't have another car I can pull out of the garage for when it snows like other people around here.

i have been in that area many times. used to work at mountain high. and drove from palmdale up there all winter. the weather changes drastically very quickly and randomly. been caught up there a few times in my 65 mustang. not very fun. i know of many people dying up there from crazy weather and sliding off the mountain. good thing u and more importantly your evo is ok.

I almost attempted to run my evo with a little bit of snow last night, and everyone's voice who told me not to popped into my head.....so I opted to just play it safe @ home
