Ticket For Tints

Hey guys just wondering what happens here. I KNOW there is probably a lot of you who have gone through this.. so.. thats why im asking..

Anywayz, a week and a half ago I got pulled over because my license plate tabs were expired.. and he also gave me a ticket for my tints which are 20%.

The ticket is a "fix-it" ticket, and the expired tabs was just a warning.

Now, if you don't "fix it" (remove the tint) what is the fine usually, and are there any points associated with this towards your record? I don't plan on removing my tint, which is why I ask...

Thanks.

pay the fine..they just want money, unless you take it to the ticketclinic and have them handle it.

I'd be interested in seeing the replies to this thread...I recently received a non-fix it ticket for my tint...curious to know what would be my best course of action.

No points on your record since it's a non moving violation.

if you look at the ticket, i don't believe court is required...those can be paid online to your local county court

Thats what I'd have to do too, if I wanted to get my tint removed. I have to take it to a court or whatever and have a cop look at my car, so he can mark down.. and sign that I had removed my tint. Then its no fine, or anything...

But, I don't plan on removing it, therefore Im just going to have to pay the amount MI charges as a fine.

well mine has a little box on the bottom left hand side and the box is checked and circled

it states: court appearance required

I called and asked them what that meant...the lady said an officer will come out and look at my car for the tint

making this tint issue bigger than it is.
1. Pay it online / mail in payment
2. Don't pay it...have license revoked ...eventually
3. Let a lawyer handle it
4. Remove tint and show proof at local PD / photo's of before and after

the point is I tried to pay it online

I cannot because it states court appearance required when I type in my ticket number

there is no way around taking the tint off...well at least in NJ
