O2 Sensor Problem

ok, i dont have my oem o2 sensor so please nobody ask about it...i went today to mitsu to get a bosch o2 sensor installed on my car. The bosch o2 sensor was designed for my car. "and it was the rear o2 sensor" before i got it installed i had a cel light and when i turned on my ac my car would sometime choke down, and when i turn on my high beams the stock water or engine temp by the tach goes up. after the bosch o2 sensor it still does all of this. The guy that installed it says that i have to have the stock one in order for my cel light to go off. He also tole me that if i get a wideband o2 it would go away.......can anybody help me the freakin stock o2 sensor is freakin four hundred dollars...does anybody have any advice to correct my problems..... thanks guys...

You're just a complete mess, and that guy doesn't know what he's talking about...a wideband o2 would make the CEL go away? Unbelievable...

See if you can get a used o2 from someone on here. The CEL will go away with a CEL fix, but I highly doubt the rear o2 has anything to do with your other problems. You never should have lost/thrown away/broken your stock o2 sensor...

No clue, but the rear o2 doesn't do anything for the car mechanically. It's not even needed other than to get rid of the CEL.

It's Warr for short. Notice the name is Warr...Talon. The word "wart" is not in there - that's pretty gross.

i was also thinking you could do the old spark plug defouler trick, you buy one from the autozone help section and drill it out so the o2 sensor fits in it, then install the whole thing in the o2 bung and it takes the sensor out of the exhaust stream and helps get rid of cel. this may only apply to N/A engines going turbo though

Choke, that's exactly what all of us do on Evos, too, except that there are 3-4 different methods, but they all accomplish the same thing.
