If you begin to distribute the Motec M800, would you also be willing to sell any bypass valves and other parts you needed to set up the anti-lag?

it all depends... it can build from as little as 12 to as much as 30 lbs depending how fast you want to get out of the hole.

there isn't a whole lot of hw to purchase. most of it is built into the ecu... we would need to wire a switch to activate the anti-lag

What do you think the projected life of you GT35r running this system will be? Your damn video has me drooling and actually considering taking the leap.

dunno... it depends on how hard you want to push your setup... there's no reason to suspect that this setup is going to last longer or shorter just b/c it's running Motec.

The Motec simply allows more control parameters than the stock ecu. Let me put it in computer terms...

Same hardware configuration: cpu, ram, mb and hard drive... if you put Windows on it, it might run slower b/c it takes up more resources; and if you put Linux on it, it might run faster b/c the sw is more efficient in managing it's resources. I used to dual-boot on my laptop with Windows and Linux... on 512mb of ram, it still runs slow in Windows, but that was more than enough for the Linux side...

Adv:
more control, more parameters, and likely more power.

Disadvantage:
- no knock control
- no pre-defined maps (the tuner has to build the map of your car from SCRATCH).

I meant reduced turbo life due to the Anti-lag that the MoTeC provides .... or was that car not on the anti-lag and it still spooled like that?!

we only use anti-lag during the launch so it's not really going to hurt the turbo that much... if you were in a racing situation (road race or rally racing) and you use anti-lag coming out of every turn, then yah, that would probably reduce the life of that turbo. We don't have the experience to back that up with test results so i can't really say one way or the other... perhaps someone who's done that in race events can jump in here.

On the roadrace courses, we don't use the anti-lag at all... it all depends on what you want to built your car to do... we are simply showing some of the capabilities of our shop car and the Motec ecu.

We should have some old videos of the Shop 8 (from last year) shortly.

cheers.
