lets see this about the 1000th story i heard now about racing cars and accidents and the same thing over and over they thought they had control of their car. Glad his alive and ok but anyone who thinks they have complete control over any car powerful or not should stop and revaluate that thought.

Yet so many of you still argue with us (mods) about our strict stance on banning street racing discussion. It's because of accidents like this.

That is true. Putting yourself in this guys shoes where you see your mom in pain hurts. Even though I'm 1 of 6 kids. Middle child with no attention. You realize small things like my mom work 10 hour days and still comes home and cook for 6. Now I'm older and buy her thing like this xmas I baught her a coach purse and she cried. Greatest feeling. From this article. I'm gonna stop street racing and use that new track opened in miami. Thanks ryan

ROFL. Those highlights killed my mood. Now I'm gonna go race sombody

Wow, that definitely is very touching… I feel for that guy, and for more own stupidy. I may only drive a Passat, but I am definitely a 17-year old idiot while driving and this has already begun to motivate me to reduce my speed, especially around other cars. More importantly, the racing and the liking will also stop. thank you for the story… Id suggest sharing it at high schools or colleges, it definitely hit me quite hard…

+1, incase you guys didn't know, this **** happens to many many people every day.

Sure, it's a pretty big deal; but i've heard worse, as have many of you; but it still happens at an alarming rate. Sorry to say it, but this one story isn't going to help change anything.

Using that logic may'be you should ban thread with following subjects:

Modifying your cars exhaust, intake etc. = it violates federal emission laws
Driving your car to work = people get killed in accidents driving to work every day
Driving/Racing on a racetrack = numerous people are killed racing every year
