Mine sticks in 5th a little. Used to stick real hard in 3rd till I did a clutch job and changed to GM clutch fluid.

I wouldn't consider this a problem, but from 1-2 it would grab ever so slightly when new. I adjusted the clutch engagement point and works like a charm now.

5th is a bit notchy at times when i shift into it hard, but that's pretty rare for obvious reasons

Just going into fifth. It sucks having to wait a second with the cluch in before putting it in fifth.

Well the tranny comes with a 10 year 100K miles warranty right? But we all know how Mitsu is on the warranty.

I voted yes to a problem, but I'm not "grinding", just that the tranny has a very notchy feel for 3rd and 4th.

Mine's no different than my VIII tranny really in overall feel.

It's notchy when cold going into 1st and 2nd like others mentioned. But, I think just because it's cold.

i voted yes... 5th grinds if I take 4th anything over 4500 rpm, and reverse will not go at times. Fluid has been changed, clutch adjusted ect...
I have 44 passes on the car and ALOT of closed track freeway runs at night.
In my opition these trannys are JUNK... remember this is my opition
I am going to do a rebuild next week myself , or maybe take it up to Shep... not sure what I want to do yet.
The more I think about it... I can see gears on my bench at work next week
